Jeff Cismesia is a special education teacher at Harlem High School. He has been teaching middle/high school for 21 years. He has his bachelor’s degree in education from Illinois State University, Master’s in Educational Administration from Bradley University and certificate of director of special education from St. Francis University.  He wishes to use experience in schools and special education to build relationships between school districts and the center.

Jeff lives in Rockford with his wife Amanda and daughter Hannah. He is dad to nine year old Hannah and forever five year old Superhero Audrey. His favorite part of the Superhero Center is all the memories of Audrey playing, climbing and dancing with her friends. Hannah loves playing with all her friends and fellow siblings regularly.

Our beloved Audrey passed away in 2023, and volunteering at the Superhero Center offers an opportunity to remain connected to Audrey, her friends and community, and to give back to a place for other kiddos with special needs like Audrey.
